SHELLY SABEL (Lighting Designer) is in her second season with The Shakespeare
Theatre. Company credits: MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING and ENRICO IV. Off-Broadway:
AS YOU LIKE IT at The Public Theater; DEBBIE DOES DALLAS with the Araca Group;
and SPANISH GIRL with Second Stage's Uptown series, all with Erica Schmidt, director.
Also, scenic and lighting design for KEEP BANGIN', directed by Savion Glover,
starring the bucket drummers from BRING IN DA NOISE, BRING IN DA FUNK; Recent
work with Savion Glover and his tap group Tii Di includes the opening of the Tullhill
Performing Arts center in St. Louis, The Tillis Center at CW Post, The 2002 Olympic
Arts Festival in Salt Lake City and THE EGG in Albany, New York. Shelly is currently
lighting Savion at The Joyce in New York City. She received her M.F.A. in design
from N.Y.U.'s Tisch School of the Arts.
