SCOTT WENTWORTH (Director) is in his fifth season with The Shakespeare Theatre. Company credits include the American premiere of ENTER THE GUARDSMAN (which enjoyed a subsequent run off-Broadway), AS YOU LIKE IT, THE SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL, HENRY V and THE WINTER'S TALE. RICHARD III for Bard On The Beach; OTHELLO, CANDIDA, A CHRISTMAS CAROL, GHOSTS and THE MAGNIFICENT AMBERSONS for the Indiana Repertory Theatre and HENRY IV, PART I and FALSTAFF (HENRY IV, PART II) for the Stratford Festival of Canada. As an actor, Mr. Wentworth has starred on Broadway in Shaw's GETTING MARRIED, ANNA KARENINA, WELCOME TO THE CLUB and LOST IN YONKERS. A member of the Stratford Festival Acting Company for twelve seasons, he has played the title role in MACBETH, Iago in OTHELLO, Jason in MEDEA, Jack in ELIZABETH REX, Sarturninus in TITUS ANDRONICUS, Pinchwife in THE COUNTRY WIFE, Hubert in KING JOHN, Antony in JULIUS CAESAR, Sky Masterson in GUYS AND DOLLS, Tranio in THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, Charles Surface in THE SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL, Tom in THE GLASS MENAGERIE and most recently Aegisthus in THE HOUSE OF ATREUS. He has written the books for two musicals; GUNMETAL BLUES and ENTER THE GUARDSMAN, which received its world premiere at London's Donmar Warehouse and was nominated for two Olivier Awards.
