SHELLY SABEL (Lighting Designer) is in her second
season with The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. Her credits with the company
include ENRICO IV. Broadway: associate lighting designer to Brian MacDevitt for
Tom Stoppard's THE INVENTION OF LOVE and Neil Simon's THE DINNER PARTY. Off-Broadway:
AS YOU LIKE IT at The Public Theater; DEBBIE DOES DALLAS with the Araca Group;
and SPANISH GIRL with Second Stage's Uptown series all with director Erica Schmidt;
scenic and lighting design for KEEP BANGIN', directed by Savion Glover, starring
the bucket drummers from BRING IN DA NOISE, BRING IN DA FUNK; Other: SAVION GLOVER
at the 2002 Olympic Arts Festival and THE EGG in Albany, New York; three seasons
with the Hamptons Shakespeare Festival, including A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, AS
YOU LIKE IT and THE TEMPEST. Shelly received her M.F.A. in design from N.Y.U.'s
Tisch School of the Arts.
