ELIZABETH LONG (Dionyza) PERICLES marks Elizabeth Long's first appearance at N.J.S.F.
She was recently seen as Lady Capulet in ROMEO AND JULIET at The Shakespeare Theatre
in Washington, DC. Other roles at The Shakespeare Theatre include Julia in THE
DUCHESS OF MALFI, Princess Eboli in DON CARLOS, Virgilia in CORIOLANUS (all directed
by Michael Kahn), Alethea in THE COUNTRY WIFE and Helen in THE TROJAN WOMEN (directed
by Joanne Akalaitis). She has also worked at The Studio Theatre in D.C. appearing
in FAR EAST and THE INVENTION OF LOVE. She has appeared in over fifteen productions
at the Alabama and Illinois Shakespeare Festivals, including THE IMPORTANCE OF
BEING EARNEST, ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA, OTHELLO, HOLIDAY, THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA,
THE RIVALS, THE TAMING OF THE SHREW and JULIUS CAESAR. Elizabeth is also an educator,
having taught for the Academy for Classical Acting, The Catholic University of
America and Master Acting Classes at The Shakespeare Theatre.
