BRIAN DOWD (Kallipides) is in his third season with the Festival. N.J.S.F. credits:
THE CRUCIBLE and ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA. Among his other credits are KING CYMBELINE
at Expanded Arts Theatre in N.Y.C. and Vineyard Theater's A NEW YORK HAMLET, adapted
from a collection of Chekhov's short stories. Off-Broadway: more than 1,500 performances
of PERFECT CRIME, as well as THE AWARD and the one-man show MR. DOOLEY. He toured
with Tony Award-winning actress Anna Manahan in the two-person show THE TRUTH
ABOUT PYGMALION. Regional: Alceste in Molière's THE MISANTHROPE, John Barrymore
in I HATE HAMLET, G.B. Shaw in DEAR LIAR and King Creon in Anouilh's version of
ANTIGONE. In 1999, he was named "Best Actor in a Drama" by New Jersey theatre
critic Peter Filichia of The Star-Ledger for his portrayal of Stage Manager in
OUR TOWN at The Bickford Theatre, directed by CRUCIBLE castmate Kate Schlesinger.
He dedicates this performance to his two children, Reilly and Katie.
